IMG_0914 It was a beautiful evening to celebrate the artists and their fabulous artwork  exhibited in the Spectrum Sustainable Art Show at the Carriage Barn Arts Center on Saturday night. Guests were welcomed by Carole Eisner’s lyrical and colorful outdoor sculptures (Marielle and Chiara), and Lubomir Tomaszevski’s Dancer.  Inside approximately 300 people filled the Carriage Barn, and all enjoyed the company, food (by Baldanza), wine (donated by New Canaan Wine Merchant) and beautiful orchid arrangement by Earth Garden. Other sponsors, April Kaynor Homes, New Canaan Lions Club, New Canaan Foreign Car, and Karl Chevrolet (Exhibition Sponsor), contributed to the evening festivities and awards. After an introduction by Co-Directors Arianne Faber Kolb and Eleanor Flatow, Anne von Stuelpnagel, the Director of Exhibitions at the Bruce Museum, introduced her Juror Selections. Lewis Cohen of Ossining, NY, won Juror’s Selection for his piece Cyclist. Tracy Hambley of  Southbury, CT, won Juror’s Selection for her The Architecture of Home. Lubomir Tomaszevski of Easton, CT, won Juror’s Selection for his Music of the Forest. David Barnett won Honorable Mention for his Saint Gabriel.  Dayna Wenzel won Honorable Mention for Under the Sea. Elizabeth Nagle won Honorable Mention for Draw Here Series. Joan Giordano won Honorable Mention for her piece Fahrenheit 451.
