SUMMARY:Guided Tour at The Guggenheim
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exclusive guided tour of Robert Rauschenberg: Life Can’t Be Stopped at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.  \nFeaturing over a dozen seminal works from the Guggenheim’s collection\, along with major loans from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation\, the exhibition highlights the artist’s radical use of materials and media. Celebrating Rauschenberg’s 100th birthday\, the exhibition is part of a global tribute to his boundary-pushing creativity\, experimental spirit\, and lasting impact on contemporary art. \nWe will also visit the new exhibition of American artist Carol Bove. Filling the entire Frank Lloyd Wright–designed rotunda\, the exhibition traces pivotal shifts across Bove’s 25-year career\, ranging from her early drawings and assemblages of found objects to a new large-scale series of her steel compositions known as “collage sculptures.”  \nMeet in the Guggenheim Museum lobby by 10:50 AM.  1071 Fifth Avenue\, New York\, NY (between 88th and 89th Streets) \nAfter the tour\, continue to explore other exhibitions or join the group for lunch (optional\, additional cost) at the museum café. \nCost: $75 for members and/or seniors (65+) / $85 for non-members SUMMARY:Spring Bulb Arranging with Longfield Farm
DESCRIPTION:Embrace the arrival of Spring by creating a distinctive and enduring Spring Bulb arrangement with Elisa Bulgrin of Longfield Farm. Say goodbye to the chilly\, snowy days of winter and welcome vibrant colors and refreshing springtime scents into your home.  \n\n\nAttendees will have a variety of plants and colors to choose from that will continue to bloom for weeks to come.   Once your arrangement is done blooming inside\, plant these bulbs out into the garden to enjoy each spring. Pick up a wealth of tips and tricks from Elisa who is a local seasoned and sustainable gardener! \n\n  \nSpace is limited\, register below.\n$150 non-members / $130 members (includes all supplies). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet Elisa –more often spotted in RM’s than heels\, the flowers I grow and arrange with are a true labour of love. Coming to flowers from the garden\, seasonality and sustainability are core to the work I do. But I feel that the real gift of these flowers is one they share with the natural world from which they came – borrowing from a favourite writer Rachel Carson\, their ability to evoke a childish sense of wonder. Whether taking a seat ‘At The Table’\, stopping by Dottie for a bunch\, or entrusting me with florals for your event\, my hope is that LF can stoke in you the same awe\, excitement and imagination as the gardens\, farms and natural landscapes of your own past.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n \n Spring Bulb Arranging Workshop with Longfield Farm 4/14/26\n Registration for Spring Bulb Arranging workshop on Tuesday April 14\, from 10am-11:30am \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Address \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n AlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific\n State\n \n \n ZIP Code\n \n \n PhoneEmail*\n \n Spring Bulb Arranging Workshop / Member Quantity\n \n \n Price:\n $130.00\n \n \n Quantity \n Spring Bulb Arranging Workshop / Non-member Quantity\n \n \n Price:\n $150.00\n \n \n Quantity \n Total\n \n Payment MethodCredit Card\n American ExpressMasterCardVisaSupported Credit Cards: American Express\, MasterCard\, Visa\n \n Card Number\n \n \n \n Expiration Date\n \n \n                                                 \n Security Code\n \n \n \n Cardholder Name\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ

SUMMARY:Human Design: Virtual Integration Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Virtual Integration Workshop\nApril 14 | 1.5hr Zoom \nDue to the impact of our second workshop\, this session is being offered as a live virtual experience to revisit and deepen this work. \nWe will be moving through the same material (recap below “Aligned Truth”)\, with space to integrate\, reflect\, and release what is no longer yours to carry. \nYou’ll receive a guided workbook with reflection prompts to support you during the session and beyond\, helping you continue anchoring this work in your daily life. \nIf you felt the depth of our first or second workshop\, or feel called to join us for the third\, this session will support you in stepping more fully into your truth so you can arrive ready to rewrite your story from a place of clarity and alignment. \nParticipant Testimonial: “Working with Brianne has been life changing. By better understanding my true self\, I’ve been able to shift my mindset from force to flow and unlearn many of my old ways that were causing me stress. With her support\, I’ve completely shifted the way I show up in the world\, from my business to my friends and family. I am now using her teachings with my kids to help them discover themselves and make their own aligned decisions. I am so grateful I found her — she’s such a gift!“ \nAligned Truth: Releasing Who You Are Not\nConditioning • Centers • Profile • Mid-Winter Clearing\nIn this session\, we explore the Human Design Centers – the places in your chart that show where your habits\, patterns\, and emotional cycles come from. Many of the behaviors you struggle with didn’t start with you; they were absorbed from family\, culture\, or years of trying to be who others needed you to be. You’ll also learn about your Profile\, how you see yourself and how others naturally see you\, so you can understand your true role and show up with more confidence\, authenticity\, and alignment. \nThis session is interactive and hands-on. You’ll receive a personalized workbook to help you identify where conditioning lives in your chart\, what patterns you’re carrying that aren’t truly yours\, and what parts of yourself you’re ready to release. Winter’s energy supports this kind of work\, helping you let go with more ease\, less pressure\, and less effort. \nThis session is for you if…\nA lot of the cycles and habits you’re tired of repeating actually live in your Centers and many of them aren’t yours to carry. If you’re feeling like you’re meant for more\, like life doesn’t look or feel the way you hoped it would\, or you can sense in your heart that something needs to shift\, this session will help you find your way back to yourself. We use Human Design as a map and work with the current planetary and seasonal energy so release can happen more smoothly with less force and more flow. \nYou will leave with:\n – A clearer understanding of who you are — and who you are not\n – Insight into the patterns and pressures shaping your behavior\n – Tools to release emotional and energetic weight\n – A deeper sense of your natural strengths and your Profile\n – Winter practices to support inner calm and clarity\n – A grounded foundation for Session 3: Aligned Expression \n  \nSession 3 | April 29 | Aligned Renewal: Planting Seeds for Authentic Expansion (Rewriting Your Story) With the arrival of spring and the energetic new year\, participants will be ready to consciously plant new seeds.\nIn this session\, we’ll weave Human Design with quantum alignment practices to rewrite their story and step into their highest expression. The transformation: clarity\, confidence\, and empowered action — flowing with their energy into 2026 and taking quantum leaps toward deeper fulfillment and aligned expression. \nTransformation Across the Series\nBy the end of this journey\, participants will be flowing with their natural energy\, making aligned decisions with confidence\, and embodying their true creative power. SUMMARY:Calligraphy Artwork Series
DESCRIPTION:Calligraphy Artwork Series\, Four Wednesdays \nApril 15\, April 22\, April 29\, May 6 · 9:30–11:30 AM \nThis multi-session series is designed for students who want to create a finished calligraphy artwork built around a text of their choice—an excerpt\, poem\, lyric\, or personal phrase. The focus is on developing an original piece from idea to final presentation\, with guidance at each step. \nAcross the series\, students will move through a structured creative process: selecting and refining text\, gathering visual references\, exploring layout and composition\, and producing sketches to test style\, spacing\, and rhythm. Students will then develop their strongest concept into a final finished artwork\, combining lettering with ink\, watercolor\, and expressive mark-making as desired. \nThe series supports both beginners and returning students. Instruction will be adapted to each student’s experience level\, with clear demonstrations\, feedback\, and one-on-one support to help bring individual ideas to completion. \nCompleted pieces can be prepared for presentation and\, if desired\, submitted for consideration in Carriage Barn Art Center exhibitions. \nMembers $240 / Non Members $260 \nPlease register below \nCancellation policy – Refunds can be issued if requested more than 2 weeks in advance of the class starting\, minus a $20 processing fee \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n \n \n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Address \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n AlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific\n State\n \n \n ZIP Code\n \n \n Email*\n \n Calligraphy Artwork series (Member) Quantity\n \n \n Price:\n $240.00\n \n \n Quantity \n Calligraphy Artwork series (Non member) Quantity\n \n \n Price:\n $260.00\n \n \n Quantity \n Total\n \n Payment MethodCredit CardPayPal Checkout\n American ExpressMasterCardVisaSupported Credit Cards: American Express\, MasterCard\, Visa\n \n Card Number\n \n \n \n Expiration Date\n \n \n                                                 \n Security Code\n \n \n \n Cardholder Name\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDina Ruzha is a local illustrator\, calligrapher\, and lettering artist who tells stories through bold characters\, expressive letterforms\, and color palettes that stop the scroll. \nShe specializes in book covers for romance\, romcom\, romantasy\, and YA — with a particular love for illustrated characters paired with custom hand-drawn titles. Her focus is always on color\, emotion\, and composition so that each cover not only stands out beautifully on digital storefronts but also connects instantly with the right readers. \nHer work has been exhibited at the United Nations\, where she was honored to perform live calligraphy and speak as part of their cultural programming. Today\, she also shares this craft through calligraphy workshops\, helping people discover the beauty of the written word and even creating custom commissions like family trees and marriage certificates. \nHer love for travel and exploring places with heart has led me to create illustrated maps — capturing food\, people\, and lifestyle with warmth\, detail\, and charm.

SUMMARY:Yoga & Sound Bath Spring Series
DESCRIPTION:Saturdays 9-10am\, April 25- May 30\n\n\nJoin us Saturday mornings for a continuing wellness collaboration between the Carriage Barn and Diane Nickelberg Barnett and introducing yoga instructor Talita Moss. This Gentle Yoga and Sound Bath series will engage both body and mind to help melt away the stresses of the week and start your weekend right! \nAfter a brief opening meditation\, we’ll stretch and loosen up with a gentle yoga practice\, accompanied by the soft sounds of Crystal and Tibetan singing bowls\, chimes\, gongs\, drums and more. You’ll then sink into an extended Savasana like no other while you become immersed in the magical sounds of the healing instruments\, creating vibrational energy to lull you into a deeply relaxed\, meditative state.  \nOpen to all levels; no experience needed. Please bring a mat and any other props for comfort- blanket\, bolster\, pillow\, eye covering\, etc.   \n\n\n$40 per class / $210 series of 6 classes (register below) \n\n\nTalita Moss is a yoga teacher and ELDOA trainer in coastal CT. SUMMARY:Intro To Eco-Printing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Natural Printing is an exciting process in which fabric is bundled with foliage and steamed to achieve colorful permanent prints\, creating one-of-a-kind pieces. \nArtist Katya Lebrija will lead this two hour workshop to introduce the process of printing using a piece of 27”x27” cotton fabric.  Participants will experiment and learn how different plants make their unique mark on the fabric. \nYou'll design and create your "bundle" (which is how the fabric is actually printed) which is then steamed and unrolled to reveal your unique design.   \nA follow-up Silk Scarf printing workshop will be held on May 2. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Introduction to Eco Printing with Katya Lebrija 4/25/26\n \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Address \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n AlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific\n State\n \n \n ZIP Code\n \n \n Email*\n \n Phone Number*\n \n Introduction to Eco Printing 4/25/26 Quantity\n \n \n Price:\n $100.00\n \n \n Quantity \n Total\n \n Payment MethodCredit CardPayPal Checkout\n American ExpressMasterCardVisaSupported Credit Cards: American Express\, MasterCard\, Visa\n \n Card Number\n \n \n \n Expiration Date\n \n \n                                                 \n Security Code\n \n \n \n Cardholder Name\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nI was born and raised in Mexico City\, where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Universidad Anáhuac in 1995 and worked as a freelance graphic designer until December 1999\, when my husband and I moved our family to the United States. \nI have explored various artistic mediums\, from watercolors and acrylics to printmaking. My current artistic focus lies in mixed media. I am deeply engaged in creating pieces incorporating various materials\, including acrylics\, paper\, leftover monotypes\, fabric\, gesso\, ink\, charcoal\, and oil sticks. \nMy paintings have been featured in exhibitions in my home state of Connecticut\, Vermont\, New York City and my native Mexico City. In addition to participating in juried shows\, I have had the honor of hosting solo exhibitions and winning awards\, a testament to my growing recognition in the artistic space. \nI currently work in my home studio\, and also enjoy painting with a group of local artists in CT.

SUMMARY:Reuse & Recycle Art Workshop with Alex Eaves & Deek Diedricksen
DESCRIPTION:An amazing opportunity for young creators to learn from two masters of eco-design! Come join our reuse art workshop hosted by Alex Eaves\, founder of "Escape the Waste" and Deek Diedricksen\, creator of the Off Grid Tiny House. \nThey will lead collaborative projects such as designing quirky wooden cat and dog characters and objects from wood scraps\, and create martian plants using concrete and recycled odds and ends as well as other eco projects. This is a hands on workshop where you will pick up tips and tricks from the experts in recycling\, reusing and repurposing and building!  \nUsing almost nothing but reused\, repurposed\, and dumpster-dived materials\, Alex Eaves and Derek “Deek” Diedricksen convert a 17-foot moving truck into a 98-square-foot tiny house and mobile reuse education center. We are delighted to welcome them to the Carriage Barn whilst they are visiting New Canaan! \n\nIf you have any used or half used acrylic paints\, please do bring them with you! All other materials will be provided. \n$50 per child / Pls register below \nCancellation policy – Refunds can be issued if requested more than 2 weeks in advance of the class starting\, minus a $20 processing fee \n\nAlex Eaves has been helping people combat the worldwide waste problem for over two decades. In 2003\, he created the skateboard and clothing brand STAY VOCAL\, and won a national "Best Small Business Idea" Award in 2008 when he switched the brand to 100% reused. In 2015\, he released his first award winning documentary\, REUSE! Because You Can't Recycle the Planet\, and in 2024\, Alex launched his reuse “edutainment” hub\, Escape the Waste. \n  \n  \n  \nDerek “Deek” Diedricksen is a professional tree house and tiny house builder. He has hosted and designed for numerous TV shows on the DIY Network\, the History Channel\, Make TV\, and was the recent host for HGTV's "TinyHouse Builders.” Deek has taught hands-on building workshops worldwide since 2010 and runs the YouTube design channel RelaxshacksDOTcom\, with 220\,000+ subscribers. He is the author of four books including the bestseller "Microshelters" and has had his art and designs featured in the New York Times\,the Boston Globe\, and Forbes Magazine. \n  \n\n \n\n  \n\n \n \n Reuse Recycle Children's Art Workshop with Alex Eaves & Deek Diedricksen\n Registration for Reuse Recycle Children's Art Workshop with Alex Eaves & Deek Diedricksen 4/26/26 \n "*" indicates required fields \n \n Your name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Child's name(s)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Age(s)Please enter a number greater than or equal to 8.Address \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n AlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces Pacific\n State\n \n \n ZIP Code\n \n \n PhoneEmail*\n \n Reuse Recycle Children's Art Workshop Quantity\n \n \n Price:\n $50.00\n \n \n Quantity \n Total\n \n Consent\n \n I agree to the liability waiver\n As parent/guardian\, you individually and on behalf of your child\, release and agree to hold Carriage Barn Arts Center harmless from any and all liability and hereby assume all risk and responsibility and waive any claim or cause of action of any nature whatsoever arising on behalf of your child while at class or otherwise in the care of its staff. SUMMARY:Silk Scarf Printing Workshop with Katya Lebrija
DESCRIPTION:Natural Printing is an exciting process in which fabric is bundled with foliage and steamed to achieve colorful permanent prints\, creating one-of-a-kind pieces. \nArtist Katya Lebrija will lead this three hour workshop to further explore the process and use your skills to design and create a 25”x25” 100% silk scarf.  Learn how to make a mordant and apply it to the silk. The fabrics will dry under the sun during a short lunch break.  \nOnce you've created and assembled your "bundle" it will be steamed and unrolled to reveal your entirely unique botanical design.   \nAn introductory workshop to learn and experiment with the process will be held on April 25.

SUMMARY:Watercolor Botanical Painting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 9 from 10:30-1:30pmLearn to Paint Beautiful Watercolor Flowers with Sarah Crossman\nWe’re thrilled to welcome Sarah back for a new workshop. In this 3-hour session\, we’ll study a floral painting inspired by Redouté\, a master of botanical illustration\, using one of his works as a reference to paint and learn from. \nPerfect for all skill levels -- participants will learn step-by-step how to create a finished painting. Sarah will demonstrate essential watercolor techniques\, including washes\, wet-on-wet\, and dry brush\, offering plenty of individual guidance throughout the session. \nYou’ll leave with a completed painting and a solid foundation to continue your watercolor practice at home. \nMaterials are provided\, but you’re welcome to bring supplies if you prefer. Please bring lunch or snacks—we’ll take a short break to eat and recharge. \n\n$75 Members / $90 Non-Members \n \n\nSarah Crossman is a watercolor artist whose work is deeply inspired by the beauty of nature. Based in Bedford\, NY\, Sarah draws much of her inspiration from the botanical subjects found in her garden and the local environment. SUMMARY:Paper Flower Workshop with The Green Vase
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to welcome back renowned artist and stylist Livia Cetti\, founder of The Green Vase\, for another unique and inspiring workshop. \nWork side by side with Livia and learn the art of creating stunning paper flowers—this session features Lily of the Valley. You’ll build your own stem in your favorite colors and take home a beautiful work of art to enjoy all year long. \nLivia began making paper flowers while serving as a style editor at Martha Stewart before founding her studio in 2005. Since then\, her creations have taken her across the globe—from Paris to Tokyo—designing installations and arrangements\, including for a state dinner in Washington\, DC. She is the author of two books\, and her work has appeared everywhere from the windows of Jo Malone and Tiffany & Co. to the pages of Vogue\, T Magazine\, and Architectural Digest. \nThese everlasting blooms celebrate the artistry of handmade paper flower making.
