“I combine my love of drawing and mark-making with my appreciation for the community that surrounds art-making, the discourse and the process of sharing and learning. Art is primarily a language to connect in a meaningful way, and my desire is to help youth and adults tap into their curiosity about mark-making, trust what they see and find techniques to express it. It is always a push-pull with that inner-critique… but it’s liberating to quieten it sometimes, it does not have to be at the forefront for everything!”
