Treetops Chamber Music Concert: Horszowski Trio

October 13 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Come and experience the stunning sounds of the Horszowski Trio:
Jesse Mills on the violin, Ole Akahoshi on the cello and Reek Aizawa on the piano.

Returning to open our 19th season after a riveting concert last year, giving performances that are “lithe, persuasive” (The New York Times), “eloquent and enthralling” (The Boston Globe), and described as “the most compelling American group to come on the scene” (The New Yorker), the Horszowski Trio presents a fascinating program, including Haydn’s delightful Piano Trio Opus 57/2 together with National Medal of Arts, Pulitzer Prize, and Grammy Award-winner American Composer William Bolcom’s “Haydn go Seek,” a response to Haydn’s music, which surprises and delights. “My aim in this music was to play a constant game of surprise throughout, in as Haydnesque a manner as I could muster from two centuries remove,” explains Bolcom.

Program
Franz Joseph HAYDN Piano Trio in E Minor, Hob. XV:12
Arnold SCHOENBERG / Rieko AIZAWA: Six Little Pieces, Opus 19
