During this time social distancing and isolation, many are spending more time at home and exploring creative activities. We’ve heard from many members and artists who have been inspired to create and share their work. Communities around the world are coming together and creativity is keeping peopleconnected.
Inspired by this, the Carriage Barn Arts Center is launching a community creative challenge! ALL are welcome to participate!
Help us stay creatively connected and send a positive message to the community by sharing artwork that you’re creating now! All are welcome to participate — whether you’re creating artwork for the first time, exploring new mediums, working collaboratively, at home or in your studio!
1. Share original artwork you’ve recently created for our home is where the heART is challenge. All mediums welcome — painting, photography, collage, illustrations, sculpture, prints, mixed media, etc.
2. Email 1-2 images (jpeg) to firstname.lastname@example.org long with your name, where you live, and (if you like) your age and a short message. OR, share work to our Facebook and Instagram pages and use the tags #homeiswheretheheartis #creativecommunity #carriagebarnartscenter
3. We’ll share the artwork through an online gallery and through our social media pages! Artwork will also be included in a pop-up exhibit during Art In The Windows in downtown New Canaan this June!
