SPOOKY SOIREE FOR THE ARTS!
Thanks to our patrons & sponsors:
Rich Companik Maryanne Hartley
The perfect opportunity to support two of New Canaan’s arts gems in Waveny Park while being throughly entertained. The Carriage Barn Arts Center and Town Players of New Canaan have a combined 120 years of history, and with your support, we will continue to inspire and entertain for the next 100+ years.
Enjoy wine, a specialty cocktail and hors d’oeuvres surrounded by artwork at the Carriage Barn, then walk over to the Powerhouse Theatre for a ghost story you won’t forget.
Revered as one of the greatest ghost stories ever told, Henry James’s novella, The Turn of the Screw is an eerie Victorian masterpiece. Genuine chills are provided in this tale of a governess, left in charge of a boy and a girl at a lonely estate, who begins to suspect that the ghosts of two former servants have hideous designs upon the children. With every twist in the plot (or turn of the screw) the tension increases until something—or someone—must snap.
