Join us at the Aldrich Museum for a guided tour of the new exhibition Hangama Amiri: A Homage to Home!
Thursday, March 16th, 10:30am-12:30pm
The group will meet at the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield for a curator-led tour of the exhbiit and other museum highlights. A box lunch is included to enjoy with the group on the Aldrich grounds or take to-go.
This exhibition is the artist’s solo museum debut and will unveil a new body of work. Hangama Amiri was born in Pakistan but her family fled Kabul in 1996. Centered on the lives of women, she builds interiors made from textiles that capture her protagonists within domestic and entrepreneurial spaces and amplify a collective struggle for women’s rights in Afghanistan and around the world.
