themes of love, loss, and desire.
We welcome performers from the Bodies Never Lie dance company, comprised of professionals from Joffrey Ballet New York and principals from the esteemed Dance Theatre of Harlem for this special event. Set to recordings of music by acclaimed Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla and the mesmerizing Buenos Aires sensation, Gotan Project.
During the break, guests are welcome to join a lively group tango lesson led by Jessica Ruhlin, a teacher from New York City Ballet and Carriage Barn Member Manager. Wine will be provided by a representative of Bousquet Winery of Argentina, courtesy of Red Grape Wine & Spirits.
Former ballerina and Carriage Barn member, Barbara Simonson, will capture the dancers and event in watercolors and pencils live during the show, available for purchase after the performance.
Argentinian wine tasting at 5:30pm, dance performance begins at 6pm.

Bodies Never Lie dance company is a collective under the artistic direction of Founder, Jessica Ruhlin. Created as a pushback to a developing disability from Type One diabetes, the company makes performance work utilizing the moving body as a method of communication rather than aesthetic pictures. Since its inception in 2021, BNL has received funding from New York Foundation for the Arts, and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. BNL has performed at festivals, concerts, and venues across the Northeast region including Jimmy Soho, The Park Avenue Armory, NDEO Conference, and New York Fashion Week. The company is currently in residence at the Williamsburg Opera House, and in production with the international event team Fever and Candlelight Concerts and will be in residence at the Mouin Belle artist residency in Perigord, France this summer.
Lindsey Donnell is an artist with the internationally renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem. During her time with the company, she has had the honor of performing in almost all 50 states and for audiences around the world, and at the White House for former First Lady Michelle Obama. . Morgan Lamb has an extensive repertoire including: Table of Silence Project 9/11, Dance ARIS (Artist Residence in the Smokies), Radio City Music Hall, City Center, Dixon Place, Dance Theatre of Harlem, The Williamsburg Opera House, and The Soho Playhouse. Kate Griffler is currently dancing & choreographing for multi-media artist Carrie Able and also dancing for choreographer Joshua Lang. Derek Brockington has danced with Grand Rapids Ballet and Cincinnati Ballet II before joining Dance Theatre of Harlem in 2018. Brockington has danced works by George Balanchine, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Stanton Welch, William Forsythe, Claudia Scherier, and Robert Garland. Emily Zatorski performs with: Bodies Never Lie Dance Company, Catskill Mountain Foundation, Open World Dance Foundation, Les Opera de China Ballet, and School of Philadelphia Ballet.
