ACABELLA HOLIDAY CONCERT
Join us on Friday December 9 at 6.30pm for a festive holiday concert at the Carriage Barn featuring Acabella.
Acabella was founded in 2001 and currently comprises 14 women from the Lower Fairfield County area. The group is named Acabella, which combines the musical term, a cappella, which means unaccompanied by musical instruments, and bella, the Italian word for beautiful. The group is currently directed by Heather Raker, one of its founders, and Carolyn Woodberry, who has been singing with the group since its inception.
Acabella has performed at numerous local fundraisers, the Darien Arts Center, the Darien Library, country club events, senior centers, preschools and private parties. Their performance at the Carriage Barn Arts Center will include Holiday classics such as Carol of the Bells, Twelve Days of Christmas, Deck the Halls, Silent Night, Sleigh Ride and many more! The concert will coincide with the annual Deck the Walls exhibit, a great festive tradition in New Canaan.
Tickets $20 for Carriage Barn members, $25 for non-members
