Kids Reuse & Recycle Art Workshop with Alex Eaves, “Escape the Waste” & Deek Diedricksen, creator of the Off Grid Tiny House

Come join our reuse art workshop hosted by Alex Eaves, founder of “Escape the Waste” and Deek Diedricksen, creator of the Off Grid Tiny House!
Using almost nothing but reused, repurposed, and dumpster-dived materials, Alex Eaves and Derek “Deek” Diedricksen convert a 17-foot moving truck into a 98-square-foot tiny house and mobile reuse education center. We are delighted to welcome them to the Carriage Barn whilst they are visiting New Canaan!
During this workshop students will team up to create quirky wooden scrappy cat and dog characters to take home made out of recycled wood pieces. Plus, we’ll embark on a ‘Martian plant’ adventure, using concrete and recycled odds and ends as well as other collaborative projects. This is a hands on workshop where you will pick up tips and tricks from the experts in recycling, reusing and repurposing and building!
If you have any used or half used acrylic paints, please do bring them with you! All other materials will be provided.
$50 per child / Pls register below
