Carriage Barn Arts Center members are invited to attend our annual meeting followed by the opportunity to meet and hear from a number of professionals about best practices and tips to take your art career to the next level. Panelist include:
Lynn Moore – Lynn, who is a multi-media artist and digital marketing professional with her own firm. Lynn will be sharing her expertise in website design and e-commerce development, as well as social media marketing.

Jay Wilson – In addition to being a photographer, Jay is a marketing and advertising analyst with Gartner. Jay will bring his personal and professional experience to share his advice about how to best promote art through social media, entering juried art exhibitions and local art fairs.

Sandy Pelletier – Sandy is the Founder of Sorelle Gallery in Westport, CT. Pelletier opened Sorelle with the intent to build a tech-forward approach to art advisory, integrating a representation on online sales platforms to the gallery’s business model. She will share her insights about finding gallery representation and maintaining a successful artist-gallery partnership. Sandy will also discuss the importance of the actual presentation of artwork including framing, wiring, and hanging art and proper installation.

Kristin Peterson Edwards – Before joining the Carriage Barn, Kristin has worked in blue-chip galleries and museums and was trained by Christie’s auction house in London. As an art advisor, she has been involved with every kind of framing and complex installations. She has been involved with exhibiting the work of both emerging and established artists for nearly 30 years.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Meeting of Members of New Canaan Society for the Arts, Inc., a Connecticut nonstock corporation, will be held at the Carriage Barn Arts Center, Waveny Park, 681 South Avenue, New Canaan, CT on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 6:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time and at any adjournment or postponement thereof (“Meeting”) for the purpose of electing members of the Board of Directors and transacting such other business as may properly come before the Meeting. The Board of Directors has fixed the close of business on October 2, 2023, as the record date for the determination of those members entitled to vote at the Meeting.
