The Art of Cyanotype workshop

September 30, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

One Spot left!

Artist and instructor Fruma Markowitz will lead this workshop on World Cyanotype Day,

September 30 from 10am-12:30pm
(rain date Oct 7)

This workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn the process or further experiment and develop your skills.  Participants will create prints on paper using the cyanotype historical photographic process.

Learn how the non-toxic cyanotype chemicals (potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate) react in exposure to sun/UV light to produce permanent, magical blue and white images.

Using botanical specimens and common objects students will produce one-of-a-kind compositions involving both random and intentional mark-marking. The results are surprising, ethereal and delightful.

For World Cyanotype Day, the custom is to make 12” X 12” cloth cyanotype flags with any type of design, which would be displayed afterwards as a group.

Members $75 / Non Members $90 (includes all materials)

Please note registration and payment for this program is non-refundable. In the event you must cancel, we will consider your purchase a donation and will happily issue you a donation receipt.
