In this relaxed, mindful workshop, participants will create and hand-letter Valentine’s Day greeting cards using modern calligraphy techniques. The class is beginner-friendly and designed for anyone curious about calligraphy, with no prior experience required.

All materials are provided. The focus is on slowing down, enjoying the process, and finding calm through thoughtful, intentional lettering. Participants will leave with beautifully written Valentine’s cards ready to share with loved ones.

Cancellation policy: In the event you must cancel, refunds can be issued if requested 2 weeks in advance, minus a $20 processing fee. If you cancel two weeks or less before the workshop date, we will consider your purchase a donation and will happily issue you a donation receipt.

Dina Ruzha is a local illustrator, calligrapher, and lettering artist who tells stories through bold characters, expressive letterforms, and color palettes that stop the scroll.

She specializes in book covers for romance, romcom, romantasy, and YA — with a particular love for illustrated characters paired with custom hand-drawn titles. Her focus is always on color, emotion, and composition so that each cover not only stands out beautifully but also connects instantly with the right readers.

Beyond illustration, she is deeply passionate about calligraphy. Her work has been exhibited at the United Nations, where she was honored to perform live calligraphy and speak as part of their cultural programming. She also shares this craft through workshops, helping people discover the beauty of the written word and even creating custom commissionslike family trees and marriage certificates.
