RELIEF PRINTMAKING SERIES
Three classes: Tuesdays Jan 23, 30 & Wednesday Feb 7
from 7-9pm
This class explores the process of printmaking by creating your own image through ideation, carving your image onto the printmaking block, inking, registration of paper, and printing.
Over three sessions, participants will create their own relief block and print a run of their own design!
Using a linoleum block, carve your own image that can be printed many times and inked in various ways.
Relief printmaking is the process of reduction of surface area from a printing block, the surface remaining is then inked and printed.
$150 members / $165 non members (includes a $50 materials fee)
Evelyn Harvey is a local artist and native to New Canaan. She has worked for the Carriage Barn Arts Center as a Digital marketing coordinator and Gallery Assistant, and was a Professor of Visual Art, teaching Drawing I, Painting I, Designer Fundamentals, Color Theory, and Art Appreciation of Palm Beach State College. She received her BFA in painting from Pratt institute and MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art & Design.
