Rooted in the spirit of abstract expressionism, this refreshed workshop invites artists to break familiar patterns and explore unexpected directions in their work. Emphasizing risk-taking and discovery, participants will engage with unconventional prompts, mixed materials, and intuitive decision-making.
 
Designed to spark new energy and perspective, this session encourages artists to move beyond their usual approach and uncover surprising possibilities within their creative process.
 
All levels welcome!  A judgement-free environment to explore your creativity.  Limited to 8 participants.

Melissa is a contemporary artist with roots in the city’s art world, creating intuitive abstract work shaped by emotion, music, and a strong instinct for color. She works in acrylic and mixed media to build layered, textured compositions. Her work has been featured in various publications, and she has been commissioned for a piece by an ABC News anchor in New York City. Melissa continues to exhibit in galleries and various other exhibitions, including the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, inviting viewers to experience and interpret her work in their own way.
