A Free Family Program presented in partnership with New Canaan Cares and the YMCA
Woof Woof the Shadow Pup illuminates the importance of understanding and acknowledging the emotional life of young children. This inspiring story is an invitation for families to experience shadow play at home and in the magical world of shadow theater: wondrous worlds where adventure and possibility are never-ending.
Leap into the spotlight and explore the art of shadow dance with professional dancers from the children’s theatre production of Woof Woof the Shadow Pup. Children will experience projection art and an interactive story time, participate in immersive shadow dance, and dig into hands-on prop-making.
Woof Woof is a bedtime activity created by Nancy Close PhD, Yale Child Psychologist to help children express their thoughts and feelings more easily to an imaginary character. This is a unique Parent-Child experience program for families to help build the skills and relationship where the children feel comfortable and confidence to express their feelings!
Geared towards children ages 3-7 and their families.
