Students will learn and perform their favorite Taylor Swift songs, make friendship bracelets and learn to write a song like Taylor in smaller break out groups and in one large group altogether to create a show. They will have a choice in their small groups of song selection – from the expansive Taylor Swift repertoire!

Kayla Paige Fuhst
As a former middle and elementary school teacher, Kayla has extensive experience working with a wide range of students of all age groups, diverse backgrounds, and varying skill levels. She is an honors graduate from the University of Connecticut, where she received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, along with a B.S. in Education and a B.A. in Music. She grew up in musical theatre, having performed at Alvin Ailey Studios in NYC and Tarrytown Music Hall. She has also enjoyed music directing numerous children’s theatre productions, and has a love for songwriting. Her original songs have aired on the radio, and she had the privilege of playing her music as the opening act for Bernie Williams at the Paramount Theatre. Kayla is an actively performing musician around the tristate area, but has also had the wonderful opportunity to sing in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Czech Republic.
Kurt Robert Stoodt
Kurt is an actively performing musician and educator, around the New York Tri-State local area, whose musical knowledge extends through many avenues. As a multi-instrumentalist with exceptional proficiency on upright and electric bass, piano, guitar, clarinet, trumpet, and violin, he enjoys performing in various types of venues, with musical genres ranging from classical to rock, jazz, and pop. In addition to instruments, he has also found a passion for beatboxing! He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he received his Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Through his experiences as a former elementary school teacher and Army National Guard bandsmen, he has become a well-rounded educator. In addition to his love for music, he also enjoys cooking, learning about modern technology, and spending time with family and friends.”
