Join renowned landscape artist Jonathan McPhillips for a one-day workshop, Exploring Your Vision in Paint, at the Carriage Barn. This special opportunity is open to artists of all levels working in any paint medium.
Begin with a morning painting demonstration in oils, during which Jonathan will share insights into his process, techniques, and approach to landscape painting. After a break for lunch (please bring your own), the afternoon will be devoted to individual painting time, with Jonathan offering personalized guidance as participants work on their own subjects and projects.
Bring a blank canvas to start something new, or a work-in-progress that you’d like help developing. The afternoon is meant to function as a working artist’s studio in a relaxed, supportive setting. Whether you’re seeking feedback on a current piece or looking to explore something entirely new, this is a chance to receive direct, individualized input from a professional artist.
We have easels available at the Carriage Barn, or bring your own if you’re more comfortable working with your own setup.
Designed to encourage personal artistic exploration, this workshop will help each artist develop and refine their unique voice. While all paint media are welcome, demonstrations will be conducted in oil.
Participants are asked to bring their own materials. If you need help selecting supplies, please contact [email protected] for a suggested supply list or any questions.
Spaces are limited—sign up early to reserve your spot in this immersive, hands-on day of painting!
