Join Dr. Page Knox for a special guided tour of the newly reopened Frick Collection, offering an in-depth look at the museum’s transformation, newly opened galleries, and highlights from its world-renowned collection. This will be a small, intimate group to allow for a more personal and engaging experience.

The museum’s iconic Old Masters have returned to their original settings, while visitors can now ascend the grand staircase and explore the Frick family’s former private bedrooms, transformed into elegant galleries featuring Chinese porcelain, Renaissance medals, and works by Boucher and Constable.

Sought after guide and art historian Page Knox will guide us through the collection, where masterpieces by Bellini, Duccio, Gainsborough, Goya, Ingres, Rembrandt, Turner, Van Dyck, Velázquez, Vermeer and others are displayed in the intimate setting of a late Gilded Age mansion.

We will also view the landmark inaugural exhibition, Vermeer’s Love Letters (on view through August 31). For the first time, the Frick’s Mistress and Maid is shown alongside two rare Vermeer loans: The Love Letter from the Rijksmuseum and Woman Writing a Letter, with Her Maid from the National Gallery of Ireland. Together, these three masterpieces offer a compelling look at Vermeer’s treatment of letter writing and his nuanced depictions of women from different social classes.
