Teen Afternoon Art Workshops

Teens (grades 7 & up) may register to join these two 5-day workshops from 2-4pm taught by Evelyn Harvey.
June 26-30: Foundations of Acrylic Painting
Participants will work to complete a piece while learning to use a variety of tools, setting up a palette, manipulating the acrylic medium and the steps to create an image on canvas.
July 10-14: Movie Poster Design
Students will use their creativity and imagination while learning the steps of design their own compelling movie poster. They will consider principles and elements of design, creating visual movement, balance, emphasis, shape, unity and more.
Participants will go from developing ideas with thumbnail sketches, through preliminary drawings, creating a color scheme and adding text, all the way through to a finished poster.
