Life Drawing evening
February 6 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Come experience a life-model session at the Carriage Barn! Life Drawing sessions are 3 hours, 6-9pm.
The session will be full-figure and clothed, starting with short gestures and building up to one long pose or larger poses.
Leave your harsh critique at the door and you will surprise yourself by using a playful but observant mindset. Vanessa will be on hand to guide you through some exercises that can loosen you up and find new ways of seeing.

Vanessa Curri is a resident of New Canaan and a mother of 4 children. She received her BFA- honors in Art History at York University 2003, but started her relationship with Life-Drawing in her early teens. Inspired by her mother’s philosophical interest in art and her pursuit in stone sculpture, she always kept wanting to get back to the activity of drawing. Her strong desire is to help youth and adults to tap into their curiosity about mark-making. To learn how to trust what they see and to find techniques to express it. It is always a push-pull with that inner-critique.. quite liberating to quieten it sometimes, it does not have to be at the forefront for everything!
