New Canaan Knits Drop in Event

The New Canaan Farmer’s Market and the Carriage Barn Arts Center are collaborating to make New Canaan sing with color and texture this summer, whether you knit, crochet, embroider or sew, come and be part of it and contribute!
The theme is Feeding our Community, inspired by the New Canaan Farmer’s Market and we will be yarn bombing in September — before then we need to gather supplies and start creating our pieces of fabric and decorations. Here are the ways you can get involved:
– Come Knit or crochet at our drop in events on July 12, 5 – 7pm or July 26, 5-7pm and create pieces of fabric and decorations. Total Beginners welcome! What better way to embark on your first crochet or knitting project than with your whole community?
Bring any fun yarn you want to create with and needles or crochet hook. If you don’t have yarn, don’t despair! We have lots! We have a few crochet hooks and knitting needles to lend for during the event if you don’t have any.
– Donate yarn at the Farmer’s Market Saturdays 10-2pm or at the Carriage Barn Arts Center Drop in events on 7/12 or 7/26.
